Doha International Airport – Qatar

Construction of the new international airport in Qatar is well underway and lightning protection has been installed to many of the new structures that have been completed. The Project has been managed by a US construction company and the lightning protection installed to current US standards. The Qatari Authorities required a competent European company to certify the system to current European standards, they selected Thor lightning Protection.

Thor Engineers spent twelve days at the airport certifying existing Lightning protection installations. The Qatari authorities were delighted with there performance as the project was delivered on time and within budget. Thor Engineers will be returning in February 2012 to continue certification of further completed installations.
